Charles Rennie Mackintosh's drawings of a House for an Art Lover were entered in a competition "Haus eines Kunstfreundes", in 1901.

The present day House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park was completed in 1996. It faithfully follows Mackintosh's design intentions.
