Martyrs School in Charles Rennie Mackintosh's birthplace, Townhead, Glasgow, was built in 1895. It was designed in the Scots Renaissance style as specified by the local School Board. The Mackintosh influence does make it much more interesting architecturally than other Glasgow schools designed around the same time.
